Class A CDL Driver
Position Overview
Class A CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating trucks on utility and construction sites. This role ensures timely transport and delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies while adhering to company safety standards and DOT regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document findings in compliance with DOT guidelines.
- Operate trucks safely on construction sites and public roads, often in heavy traffic conditions.
- Load and unload materials, equipment, or supplies accurately and safely.
- Maintain communication with dispatch and project supervisors regarding routes, schedules, and jobsite needs.
- Ensure a safe work environment for yourself, co-workers, and the public.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Assist with other construction-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years CDL Experience required.
- Valid CDL license meeting state requirements.
- Physically capable of performing manual labor in varying conditions, including heavy lifting (over 50 lbs.).
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
